Hey All! Put July 11th at 9pm EDT on your calendars as that's when we'll be opening registration for our 10th edition of Jammin' on the James! And because this is our 10th year, we're planning a few surprises such as a fan dancing workshop and a very special appearance of the Jammin' All Stars who will provide LIVE music during our Saturday late night dance! The first 15 registrants will get in for a special early bird price so don't miss out. Details to come at www.jamminonthejames.com.

See you in Richmond in October!

Jammin' on the James workshop descriptions are up, as well as an updated event schedule, instructor bios, and band info! Just in time for registration to open on Wednesday night! Now you can make an informed decision instead of blindly registering. Or you can just blindly register because you know you want to be at Jammin' no matter what. Good enough for me! Check it out at www.jamminonthejames.com

Remember, registration opens this Wednesday, July 11th, at 9pm EDT!

Our 10th edition is looking to be huge as we already have folks registered from London, Tel Aviv, and Singapore. I'm totally NOT making this up! So come and dance with these fine folks who are coming all this way to dance with folks just like you!

Also, don't forget that we'll be having our fabulously popular Jick 'n Jall competition in which you'll be judged on your abilities to both lead and follow. Prelims will be held at 10:30 on Friday night with the finals on Saturday night. No pressure....it's all in good fun!

Lastly, don't forget that we will be having an all-start jam band playing at late night Saturday night so you won't want to miss that. And these aren't just a bunch of schmoes playing either: Mike Faltesek (Careless Lovers), Craig Gildner (Blue Crescent Syncopators), Lucian Cobb (Mint Julep Jazz Band), and Rusty Farmer (Gypsy Roots). Perhaps there will be more to come? You'll just have to come out and see for yourself.

Jammin' on the James is just two weeks away! Besides the awesome workshops and live music, here's what else is going on:

- Jick & Jall! Get here to sign up before the prelims at 10:30 on Friday night.

- For the first time at Jammin', live music at Saturday late night with the Jammin' All-Stars!

- The ever-popular stretching and body mechanics class on Saturday morning presented by our Wellness Director, Jason Sager of Raleigh Rolfing

- Dress up for Saturday night and have fun in the photo booth.

- Vintage and vintage-inspired vendors in Creations By Crawford and Vintage Visage.

- Great Italian sandwiches and salad for Saturday lunch.

- The taco truck is back for Sunday lunch!

And although we only have a few spots open for follows for the Sunday workshops, the dances are completely open and won't sell out! Leads? Get off your butts and register already!

This is our 10th year, so we must be doing something good here. Come check it out!
